Darien Brockington
Darien Brockington, a talented singer from Durham, North Carolina, is known for his warm voice featured in numerous projects within the Justus League and Foreign Exchange families. He debuted in the mid-2000s, working with artists like Little Brother and Pete Rock. His solo work, including The Feeling (2005), Somebody to Love (2006), and The Cold Case Files (2009), showcased his gospel and R&B roots. After a hiatus, Brockington returned in the 2020s, contributing to several projects before releasing When Love Grows (2024) through Foreign Exchange Music.
Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Durham, Brockington began singing in church at a young age. He met Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh in 2000, joining the Justus League and contributing to various recordings. His solo debut, The Feeling, was supported by Phonte and produced by Nicolay and others. His first full-length album, Somebody to Love, came in 2006 with a diverse group of producers.
Brockington continued to support other projects, including 4hero, Little Brother, and the Foreign Exchange. His mixtape The Cold Case Files (2009) showcased his passion for R&B ballads. After a long break, he returned in the 2020s with notable features on songs by Zo!, Phife Dawg, and Big Pooh. His latest solo release, When Love Grows, was produced by Zo! and Tall Black Guy.
